A World of Music at Your Fingertips
At School of Uke, we teach music through the ukulele, rather than merely teaching the ukulele. You can play literally anything on the ukulele and we use it as a gateway into music more broadly. We explore all kinds of music, including classic and contemporary Rock, Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Afrobeat & much more.
Every group has its own shared playlist where you can add the songs you’d love to learn. We use your suggestions to help shape the course, introducing new songs and techniques as your playing develops.
Confident Playing Technique
Level 2 is about becoming a more confident and musical player. We’ll help you move beyond simply getting the chords right and start thinking about timing, rhythm, dynamics, texture and feel.
You’ll develop greater fluency, learn to listen and respond to the other players around you, and become more comfortable carrying on when you make a mistake. We’ll also encourage you to experiment, sing, develop your own style and bring more personality to the way you play.
