Cancellations, Returns and Refunds
Duke of Uke Tuition Ltd trading as School of Uke, sells a range of both physical products and services. Please see the respective return policies below for Tuition Services and Physical Products.
Group Tuition Services Cancellations & Refund Policy
We offer a cooling off period of 14 days from the date of purchase. If you cancel within the 14 day cooling off period and have not attended any classes, you may be entitled to a refund, minus an administration fee of £50.00.
Duke of Uke Tuition Ltd is unable to make refunds for absence due to changes in work commitments, personal or financial circumstances or any other reasons for not being able to attend the course. Any outstanding fees in these circumstances will remain payable.
If you become ill during the period of your course you may apply for a refund if your condition is permanent and prevents you from continuing. A doctor’s letter will be required to issue a refund relating to illness.
One-to-one Tuition Services Cancellations & Refund Policy
If for any reason you need to cancel your one-to-one online or in-person lesson, we offer a full refund or exchange policy up to 24 hours before your lesson is due to start. To qualify for a refund or exchange you must give at least 24 hours notice by sending a cancellation notice email to info@schoolofuke.co.uk.
Any cancellations made within the 24 hours before your lesson time will be charged at full price and you will not be entitled to a refund or an exchange.
You must provide notice to info@schoolofuke.co.uk for your cancellation notice to be recognised and validated.
Event Tickets Cancellations & Refund Policy
We aim to be fair and transparent with our refund policy while ensuring smooth event planning. Please review the terms below before purchasing your ticket:
Full Refunds: Cancellations made 7 days or more before the event will receive a full refund.
Partial Refunds: Cancellations made 2–6 days before the event will be refunded 60%.
No Refunds: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the event are not eligible for a refund.
Ticket Transfers: If you can no longer attend, you may transfer your ticket to another person. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to process the transfer.
Event Cancellations or Changes: If we cancel or reschedule the event, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer your ticket to a future event.
Exceptional Circumstances: We understand that emergencies happen. If you need to request a refund outside these terms, please contact us directly, and we will review your situation.
Physical Products Refunds & Exchange Policy
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase of a physical product as opposed to a service, we offer a 30 day exchange policy and a 30 day refund policy. Exchanges can be for items of the same value or store credit if the item is returned to us in new, unused condition and in the original packaging that you received it.
To qualify for a refund, your purchase must be returned within 30 days of the date of sale. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. Providing they are returned within 30 days of initial purchase, they will be eligible for exchange. Please refer to our exchange policy for details.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in new, unused condition and in the original packaging that you received it.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase. Please see full details for Returns Shipping below. On presentation of the original receipt, and providing the item is returned in new, unused condition and in the original packaging that you received it, a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or exchange, email us at info@schoolofuke.co.uk with your name, order details, and reason for the request.
Late or Missing Refunds
Refunds can take up to 10 working days to process. If you haven’t received your refund within 10 working days please go through the following steps.
- Be sure to check your bank account statement.
- Contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Gift Returns
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.
If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.
Returns Shipping
To return a physical product, please contact us for a returns number. You should package the item securely with the returns number on the box and ship to the following address:
School of Uke, Flat 19, 3 Purbeck Gardens, London, SE26 5FF, United Kingdom.
Your item must be in new, unused condition and in the original packaging that you received it. When packing your return item please use the box your item was originally shipped in, or a box of the same kind.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for the return of your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If we organise the return of your item, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
If you are shipping an item over £50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
